Ghana international, Emmanuel Lomotey has earned a permanent move from French Ligue 2 side, Amiens SC to Swedish club Malmo FF for the upcoming season.

The 24-year-old joins his new team after 2 seasons in France, where he impressed upon his previous employers.

During his stay in the Ligue 2 with Amiens SC, he played in over 55 games scoring 2 goals.

The defensive midfielder has international exposure with the senior national team, the Black Stars where he was cogwheel in former head coach, C.K Akonnor’s side.

Daniel Andersson, the sports director at Malmo FF, has praised Emmanuel Lomotey, who joined the Swedish club on Tuesday.

“Emmanuel is a player we have known for a long time but did not think was possible to connect with us until the last week.

“He is a central midfielder and has all the qualities that we think are important for that position. He is a physical type of player who is also skilled in both the long and short passing game,” Andersson told the club’s website

Lomotey started them from Dreams FC,  Spanish side, Extremadura Unión Deportiva before moving on to Amiens
