Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey returned to Amiens’  first team to aid them to an important victory over fellow competitors Nancy in the ongoing Ligue 2 at the Stade de la Licorne on Saturday.

Lomotey was making a return to the side after missing three consecutive games against (Pau FC, Nimes and Rodez) due to some personal matters he was facing back home in his native country, Ghana.

The home side were coming into this fixture on the back of recording two wins from 5 and were looking to add a 3rd in 6 games.

Coach Hinscgberger varied his formation to 3-5-2, with the versatile Emmanuel Lomotey in the heart of defence partnered by Mendy and Fofana.

The first half of the game failed to produce any goals as both teams threaded cautiously.

The second of the game sprang to life with both teams going at each other, finally, the 82nd minute will see Congolese striker Chadrac Akolo break the deadlock with a sweet finish.

The result sees the Unicorns move up to 9th on the log with 36 points and with Lomotey playing 20 league matches already he will be hoping to help his side to continue basking wins to push themselves further up the league table.
