Ghana’s Emmanuel Gyasi was  on target as Spezia lost to Atalanta in the Italian Seria A

Emmanuel Gyasi scored his second goal of the season in the Italian Serie A during Spezia Calcio’s match against Atalanta BC in the 33rd week of the league.

Despite his side’s 3-2 loss at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, Gyasi opened the scoring for Spezia in the 18th minute of the game with a beautiful shot, after being assisted by defender Simone Bastoni.

Marten De Roon, a Dutch midfielder, equalized for Atalanta just before half-time, and then Davide Zappacosta, an Italian international, scored three minutes after the restart to give Atalanta the advantage.

Luis Muriel added another goal soon after, but Moroccan midfielder Mehdi Bourabia scored to reduce the deficit for Spezia in the 64th minute.

Gyasi has played 30 games for Spezia in the Serie A this season and scored two goals.
