Emerse Faé appointed head coach of the Ivory Coast national football team

The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) has confirmed Emerse Faé as the head coach of the Ivory Coast national football team.



This new development comes as little or no surprise to many football people who have followed the exploits of the team in recent times.

Faé was handed the arduous task of overseeing the rest of the campaign after the former coach, Jean-Louis Gasset was relieved of his duties following a bad patch of performance.
The former Ivorian footballer managed to rally the boys to give off their best which led to the Elephants claiming victory in the CAN 2023 tournament on home soil, the first team since Egypt in 2006.

In a brief ceremony at the headquarters of FIF, the president Yacine Idriss Diallo, was overly impressed with the outing of their country to lead them to their third AFCON title.
He expressed delight saying, “I’m going to make an announcement to you. Emerse Faé, who is the interim coach, has just been confirmed today as the starting coach here at Orange.” he ended
Emerse Faé will be hoping to continue his build on his recent success with the Ivorian national team in the coming years.
