Dreams FC goalkeeper, Augustine Koomson has expressed delight at his side’s victory over holders of the betPawa Premier League, Kotoko, when the two sides went head-to-head in a round seventeen clash at the Dawu Park.

Both teams headed into the fixture with contrasting fortunes, for the host, they picked a point away to Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors, on the other hand, came into this fixture following a thumping victory over Accra Lions.

Speaking to Saharafootball.net following his heroics after the game, the young goalkeeper opined that, there was a lot riding on the game for them.

“We had to go all out for this Kotoko game because we always find it difficult against them, so, our motivation was to pick all 3 points or face the relegation scare”.

When queried on his performance against one of the biggest clubs in the country,  Koomson remarked:

” I’m really happy that I picked up the man of the match award and I’ll be looking to work hard to help my club, get a national team call-up or a foreign contract ” he ended.

A goal from Aholou Avocevou and Aggyenim Boateng Mensah was enough to condemn the Porcupine Warriors to their fourth away loss of the season.

Dreams FC will look to continue their fine form over the weekend as they take on Bibiani GoldStars at the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu.
