Dreams FC defeat Academica Do Lobito away from home in the CAFCC



Dreams FC achieved a notable win on foreign soil against Academica Do Lobito, consolidating their standing in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.

Following their previous 2-1 victory over Nigeria’s Rivers United, Dreams FC extended their winning streak with a 3-2 triumph at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda.

The Ghanaian debutants now boast six points, putting them level with Tunisian side Club Africain and Rivers United.

The thrilling contest saw Dreams FC take an early lead in the 10th minute through an impressive effort from Abdul Aziz Issah. However, Academica Do Lobito’s defender, Joao Valonga Basilio Barros, swiftly equalized.

Undaunted, Dreams FC regained control as seasoned striker John Antwi demonstrated his goal-scoring prowess, putting his team ahead once again. Aholou Gael Avocevou further sealed the victory for Dreams FC with the third goal.

Although the home side managed a late consolation, Dreams FC emerged victorious.

Academica Do Lobito, in contrast, find themselves without a single point after three matches. Their upcoming challenge involves facing Dreams FC in Kumasi, where the Ghanaian side aims to complete the double and strengthen their position in the quest for a spot in the quarter-finals.

Dreams FC continues to make an impression on the continental stage, and their supporters eagerly anticipate further success in the CAF Confederation Cup.
