    Black Satelittes head coach, Desmond Ofei is looking forward to an exciting 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

     



    Ghana was pitted against Côte d’Ivoire, Tanzania, DR Congo, and an unnamed UNIFFAC zone country for Group A.

    Group B has a lot of African powerhouses such as Egypt, Morocco, and Nigeria.

    Holders Sengal, Zambia, Kenya and Sierra Leone make up Group C of the competition.

    Ofei led the team to win the 13th All-African Games and couldn’t hide his excitement for the upcoming tournament.

    “This can be the most exciting tournament in the history of the U-20 AFCON,” .

    “Many teams are now investing heavily in international players. If you look at Congo, for example, there are Belgian players in their squad, so it’s not going to be easy.

    “There are no easy teams, with the big guns like Nigeria, Morocco, Egypt, Senegal, Gambia, and South Africa all representing. – he told oy Sports.

    The tournament will start on April 26 and see 13 teams competing for the ultimate trophy.

    The four semi-finalists will book their place at the FIFA U-20 World Cup slated for Chile later this year.
