Kotoko shot-stopper, Danlad Ibrahim has moved to downplay suggestions that he is in a contest with the second-choice goalkeeper, Frederick Asare for the top slot.

In a tweet via his official Twitter handle, Danlad Ibrahim opined that his focus geared towards the growth of the club and not to compete with his compatriot for the number one spot.

Whiles, he was away on national assignment with the Black Galaxies, Asare step up to the task and performed brilliantly well in between the sticks for Kotoko.

In light of Asare’s fine form for Kotoko, they have been widespread suggestions that the young goalkeeper should continue in that role for the club.

This recent suggestion from sections of the fans and other stakeholders has prompted, Danlad to tweet that the duo have a common goal and not to compete amongst themselves.

Danlad was left out of action against Nsoatreman this weekend and has made seven appearances in eighteen games for the Porcupine Warriors.
