Ghana international Daniel Kofi Kyereh’s return has been thwarted yet again by his recurring knee problem in pre-season for Freiburg.

The silky midfielder has been out of game action for the last 18 months and was looking to regain full fitness.

The team currently stationed in Austria for preseason ahead of the 2024/25 Bundesliga season has seen the Ghanaian pick up an injury.

This has however necessitated the midfielder to cut short his preseason duel with Freiburg.

Kyereh is expected to undergo a surgical procedure to assess the extent of the recent injury. The assessment would necessitate further treatment if necessary.

The 28-year-old will hope to race against time earlier to play a part for his club having missed the entire 2023/24 campaign.
