    Ghana Premier League clubs, Legon Cities and Hearts of Oak tested their muscle against each other in a friendly duel at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

     



    The two teams who have not played competitively since week nineteen of the of the Ghana Premier League.

    Coach Outtara named his starting lineup made up off, Benjamine Asare, Yahaya Dramani, Ransford Mensah, Oppong Afranie, Konadu Yiadom, Raphael Amponsah, Humphrey Tetteh, Hamza Issah, Abdul Aziz Adam, Akwesi Asmah, Enock Asubonteng.

    Abdul Aziz Adam was subbed off forward for Asamoah Boateng.

    The change inspired a positive outlook for the former Ghana Premier League champions as Asamoah Boateng calmly slots in a rebound to register Hearts’ first goal in the 37th minute.

    In the second half a number of changes was made by the Hearts of Oak coach, where Sharif Shuiab, Emmanuel Amankwah, Ransford Mensah, Michael Awuah Mensah, Oppong Afranie, Theophilus Collinson, Mawuli Wayo, Mohammed Hussein, Kwabena Boateng, Seth Osei and Asamoah Boateng

    The Royals leveled the scoring in the 48th minute.

    They went ahead to take the lead through a spot kick in the 75th minute which went ahead to seal the victory for the Yaw Acheampong’s side.

    The two teams will take back to the field over the weekend as the Ghana Premier League resumed for the first time in over a month since it was suspend following the death of Kotoko fan Yaw Frimpong who was stabbed in the game between them and Nsoatreman.
