CK Akonnor preparing for Hearts game despite Kotoko’s withdrawal from the Special Competition

Asante Kotoko head coach CK Akonnor revealed that he is still preparing his boys for the semifinal game of the Special Competition Tier-one against Hearts of Oak despite the fact that the club announced their withdrawal from the competition.

Asante Kotoko announced that the will not play the semifinals of the Special Competition Tier-one if their concerns on venue and revenue are not addressed.

CK Akonnor stated that the case is being handled by the management of the club, he added that he is preparing the boys in case they are called upon to play the game.

“I am preparing the boys for the Hearts of Oak game, whether today or tomorrow. If the management changes their mind, we are ready to play”

Asante Kotoko are still in the Tier-two of the Special Competition and will face Berekum Arsenal this Sunday in Kumasi.
