CK Akonnor admits difficulty in selecting players for Black Stars

Asante Kotoko coach CK Akonnor is confident that top striker Sogne Yacouba will overcome his goal drought and will start firing again.

Sogne Yacouba have failed to score for his club since November after returning from injury. The Burkinabe has put out decent performances in the CAF Confederation Cup but have failed to find the back of the net.

But CK Akonnor believes the talented striker will start scoring again.

CAF CC: Kotoko coach heaps praises on players after group stage qualification

“Currently he is going through some recovery phases but he will have to recover fully first.

“It’s just a matter of time. He will start to score again. Just like how Ronaldo started with Juventus, the beginning was difficult but he is now scoring a lot.

“So I’m confident Yacouba will start scoring soon. The most important thing is he helps the team a lot.
