Ghanaian forward, Christian Atsu has joined Turkish club, Hatayspor from Saudi Arabian club Al Raed in the ongoing season.

The 29-year-old’s stay in the Saudi League didn’t go as planned as he made just a handful of appearances for the side in the just-ended league, forcing him to look elsewhere for more playing time.

The diminutive winger’s stay in the Gulf was marred with a host of injuries that barred him from getting back to his best, making just 8 outings in as many games for the club.

The winger’s move from the Gulf return to Europe after spending a decade with clubs such as Porto, Chelsea Vitesse, Everton, Malaga and Bournemouth, Newcastle United.

As the World Cup slated for Qatar approaches, Christian Atsu will hope that his new club will provide the necessary room for him to rediscover his form which might see him get into Coach Otto Addo’s squad.
