English Premier League club, Chelsea has approached Ajax for the services of Ghanaian player, Mohammed Kudus according to The Athletic.

The Premier League club is said to be weighing up an offer within the region of £40m for the Ghanaian international.

Kudus’ recent spike in performance for Ajax is said to be swayed clubs across Europe of which Chelsea is one of his numerous suitors.

In the past, he was linked to English clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Brighton, and German outfit, Borussia Dortmund.

Saharafootball.net understands that the London-based club has agreed personal terms with the player awaiting their official bid to be accepted by Ajax.

However, Ajax manager Maurice Steijn hopes Kudus stays beyond this season.

“I feel that when Kudus decides to stay for one more year, the real top clubs will then come for him,” he said.

“If we win the league and he scores 20 goals, clubs will pay double for him. This is what we are trying to tell him now.”

The 22-year-old was involved in twenty-five goals contributions in 42 appearances in all competitions for Ajax last season.
