    Ghanaian youngster Lawrence Agyekum has joined Cercle Brugge in the Belgian Pro League on a season-long loan from Red Bull Salzburg, Austria.


    The exciting midfield gem will continue his development with Cercle Brugge for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

    The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joined Red Bull Salzburg in February 2022 from the Ghanaian club West African Football Academy (WAFA) on a 5-year deal.

    He spent the last two seasons on loan at FC Liefering where he made 49 appearances and was involved in seven goal contributions.

    Agyekum is hoping to get more game time and impress his new employers in Belgium with his season-long loan move with an option to buy.

    He will have Ghanaian international Francis Abu for acclimatization in his new environment for the upcoming season.
