GoldStars lost the plot against Algerian giants JS Kabyile when the pair met in the  CAF Champions League at the  Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM GMT.

The game started with a lot of attacking purpose and intensity from the home team, who were looking to get an early goal to unsettle their opponents but their inexperience was largely glaring as they missed those chances for an early lead.
The pendulum swung in favour of the Algerians, who got their lead through forward Mehdi Merghem.
The first half came to a close with the away side in the lead. 1-0.

A well-worked team goal saw Guinea midfielder, Babacar Sarr tap in from close range to give his side a two-goal advantage.
