    Asante Kotoko beat Kwara United by 4-3 in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary tie in Accra.



    Emmanuel Antwi opened the scoring in the eighteenth minute, not long after twenty-seven minutes the Nigerian side restored parity through Johnmark Atule.
    Albert Amoah scored a thunderous goal on the stroke of halftime, but Johnmark Atule responded in equal fashion to tie the game at 2-2 at halftime.

    Two minutes after the game resumed in the second half, Joseph Alblorh nodded home for his side’s third goal of the game to set the game at 3-2.

    The talented Herbert Gyau was fouled in the penalty box, prompting the referee to whistle for a penalty.  Albert Amoah stepped up to make it 4-2.

    With five minutes to end proceedings, Abdulraheem Shola scored his side’s third goal to finish the game at 4-3.
