Coach Zito named a fairly youthful side of Abdul Aziz, Abdul Jalilu, Emmanuel Agyei, Derrick Agyei, Godfred Atuahene, and a blend of experience with John Antwi and Agyenim Boateng Mensah leading the attack.

The game started with a frantic pace from the home side, who was looking for the opener to unsettle their guest.

Solomon Agbasi was called into action on the 28th-minute mark as he pulled off a fantastic save from, forward, Seifeddine Jaziri.

In the second half of the game, it was the reflexes of goalkeeper, Solomon Agbasi that nullified a barrage of attacking opportunities from the Egyptian club.

The away side shuffled things up with, fresh players such as Sylvester Simba, Yaovi Chris Guede coming on for Derrick Agyei, and Boateng Mensah in the dying embers of the second half.
