Watch Highlights: Medeama SC beat Remo Stars in CAF CL first leg

Medeama SC made the most of their home superiority as they beat Nigerian opponents, Remo Stars in the first leg of the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on Sunday.

The Yellow and Mauves were coming into the game with bundles of confidence knowing that a win will solidify their qualification in a two-legged tie against their weekend opponents.

Jonathan Sowah continued his impressive goal-scoring streak for the Tarkwa-based club as he shot them into the lead in the 22nd minute after coming close on several occasions, sending the fully packed Cape Coast stadium fans into ruptures.

The away side began to settle in the game gradually but for some inexperience on the part of their forwards, they missed a plethora of chances to equalize and even take the lead.

The second half began with loads of promise and attacking intent from both sides, Medeama SC came close to extending their lead but the ball cannon off the crossbar.
