    Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama SC lost the plot against Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC in their return leg of the CAF Champions League at the Baba Yara Stadium today.


    The host came into this fixture after losing the first leg against the serial Champions League winners by 3-0 in their first game of Africa’s elite competition.

    There was little to choose between the two sides, the host had five attempts, two on goal and three off target in the first half as against the away side that barely threatened their host.

    WATCH HIGHLIGHTS :

    Bernandinho got his side’s first shot on target, equally met with a fantastic save from goalkeeper, Oufa Shobeir.
    Hamidu Abdul Fatawu the livewire on the left hand of defense for the home side tested the resolve of the Egyptian defense but all failed to hit the back of the net.

    The Egyptian club, found the back of the net, three minutes after the recess, with a beautiful lobbed ball from, Emam Ashour to find the experienced, Anthony Modeste, who selflessly cut back for Hussein El Shahat, whose shot Felix Kyei failed to keep out for the first and only goal of the game.

    Al Ahly SC, the defending champions is on top of the Group D table with nine points, while Medeama SC is at the bottom with four points with a game to end the group phase.
    CR Belouizdad is in second place with five points followed by Young Africans, who have accrued five points with the two set to play each other tomorrow.
