    Ghana Premier League holders, FC Samartex 1996 picked a vital win against Cameroonian champions Victoria United in the first leg of the CAF Champions League qualifying series.

     

     



    The Ghanaian side debuted in the competition and ensured they were not intimidated by their opponents as they pitched an important victory ahead of the second leg in Accra.

    Emmanuel Mamah continued his fine goal-scoring feat for his side as he rose the highest to nod home eventually proving to be the match-winner for the traveling side.

    Samartex will hope to give a good account of themselves in the second leg of the competition scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium on August 25, 2024.
