    South American giants, Brazil lost its legend Pele on Thursday, December 29, at the age of 82.



    The three-time World Cup champion had been in and out of the hospital battling with his ill health. 

    In a tweet via his official handle disclosing his untimely death, it read ” Inspiration and love marked the journey of the King Pele, who passed away ” It ended.

    In September 2021, the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo performed surgery to remove a colon tumor that had been found during normal examinations.

    Pele will be remembered for his exploits in World football, his unifying force to bring all men together within the football landscape.
