Breaking: Amos Frimpong leaves Asante Kotoko

Asante Kotoko have said farewell to Amos Frimpong after granting the player’s desire to leave the club. Amos Frimpong accepted an offer from a Guinean club.




Asante Kotoko communications manager Sarfo Duku stated that the player received an offer and asked to be released.

“We’ve released Amos Frimpong,” said Sarfo Duku. “He had an offer from a club in Guinea and asked that Management took cognizance to his services to the club [for] years and allow him to leave”.

Sarfo Duku thanked Amos Frimpong for his service all these years and wish him well in the future.

“Amos Frimpong has served the club well over the years, so, it was only proper that we granted his wish, and not put any impediments in his path. He remains a good part of Kotoko’s history and we wish him well in his career,” Sarfo Duku continued.

Amos Frimpong joined Asante Kotoko from B. A. United in 2011, he won 11 major trophies with the Porcupines, comprising three Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two SWAG Cups, one Super Cup, two Presidential Cups and just recently, the novelty of Tier One Cup.
