Black Stars center-back, Mohammed Salisu has resumed light training with the French club, Monaco after recovering from an injury.

Salisu sustained a groin injury in March, which curtailed him from playing for his club and the national team.

The towering defender secured a mouthwatering deal from English side, Southampton to join the French giants AS Monaco in the summer transfer window but is yet to make an appearance for them after he underwent surgery to correct his groin.

His return to training is a major plus for AS Monaco and the Black Stars, who recently conceded six goals against, Mexico and USA in an international friendly game in October 2023.

Monaco sits at the apex of the French Ligue 1, will welcome Metz this weekend at home and it’s unclear if Salisu could be passed fit to make a cameo for his new side.
