The Ghanaian Black Stars will set up camp in Johannesburg, South Africa, to start preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in 2023 in Ivory Coast.

Chris Haughton, the technical team, playing body and some members of the management team will pitch camp in South Africa for ten days starting, Sunday, December 31, 2023, as they ready themselves physically, tactically, spiritually, and mentally for the tournament.

As part of their camping preparation, they will engage Botswana on Monday, January 8, 2024, before they touch down in Ivory Coast, two days before the start of the competition.

The Black Stars will hope to break their over forty years wait on a major title after they were housed alongside, Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique in Group B.

Other participating countries such as Nambia will camp in Ghana, Guinea Bissau in Mali, Mali in Mali, Algeria in Togo, and Gambia in Morocco.
