The upcoming clash with the Super Falcons is expected to provide a tougher examination for the Black Queens and offer the technical team another opportunity to assess the squad, strengthen team chemistry and sharpen preparations before the tournament begins.
Beyond its importance as a warm-up fixture, the encounter also renews the long-standing rivalry between two of West Africa’s leading women’s football nations.
The Black Queens arrived early in Morocco to acclimatise and undergo final preparations through a series of friendly matches before turning their attention to competitive action.
Ghana have been drawn in Group D of the 2026 WAFCON, where they will face Cape Verde, Mali and Cameroon for a place in the knockout stage.
The 2026 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to run from July 25 to August 16, with the Black Queens hoping to build on their preparations and make a strong impact at the tournament.
