Bibiani GoldStars defender, Evans Owusu was delighted with his club’s win over King Faisal at the Duns park.

Both teams, GoldStars and King Faisal were coming into this game on the back of losses to Hearts of Oak and Kotoko respectively, and were looking to get positive results at the end of proceedings.

The host got two quick goals through, Ibrahim Laar in the first before a consolation penalty from Haruna Mohammed helped to assuage the deficit, 2-1.

According to the experienced defender, he was full of praise for his sides in picking their second win of the season after they fell to Accra Hearts of Oak last weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Speaking to Saharafootball.net after the game, he said “First and foremost, we thank God for this victory, last weekend, we lost to Hearts, today we started very well unlike before, our performance was very high for today’s game, our coach did a lot of talking to us for this game”

When queried on his individual performance for today’s game, he added “  I’m proud of myself so far, because of the way I played today, I even assisted in the game which helped boast my confidence” he ended.

The tough-tackling defender has impressively assisted 2 out of 5 games he has played for the club in the ongoing campaign.

Michael Osei’s side will travel away to Samartex, who painfully lost to Kotoko in game 5 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
