    Gold Stars FC cliched their first Ghana Premier League title with a resounding display of football over Accra Lions 4-0 at the Duns Park on Sunday, June,8,2025.

    Four teams, GoldStars, Nations FC, Hearts of Lions and Kotoko were all in the running for the league title heading to the last league game of the season.

    Abdul Farouk Amoaful opened the scoring just four minutes into the game to send the  home fans into a frenzy.

    Kelvin Oppong doubled the advantage in the 19th minute to give them a two-goals cushioning.

    Second-half goals from Samuel Kumi (73′) and Frank Amankwah (90′) rounded off a dominant display under Frimpong Manso.

    The win gifts them their first league triumph since they gained promotion to the league some four seasons ago.

    Heart of Lions compounded the misery of Nations FC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex as  goals from  Samuel Boamah Quansah (18′) and Asante Sedorf (72′) handed the visitors a deserved win and dashed Nations’ title hopes.
