Berekum Chelsea were dealt a serious blow as they lost their crucial away game to Kotoko in game week nine of the betPawa Premier League.

An Emmanuel Sarpong’s 28th-minute goal shot the Biribies into the lead but Serge Zeze capitalized on the defensive frailties of the away side to restore parity for his side in regulation time of the first half before Stephen Mukwala capped it off in the 67th minute to pitch a win for the Porcupine Warriors.

Reacting to his side’s defeat after the game, a disappointed Coach Christopher Ennin, Berekum Chelsea, pointed out what went wrong for his side, alluding to the breakdown in midfield as the focal point in the lost

“It was balanced when we came from the second half, within some few minutes, the midfield collapsed and that allowed Kotoko to score. I have to go back to the board and work things, the performance was not what I was expecting from my boys” he ended

The loss puts Berekum Chelsea, who are yet to win an away game at 10th on the log after nine rounds of games in the betPawa Premier League.

They will channel their efforts to their home fixture against Bibiani GoldStars at Golden City park.
