Alex Aso of Accra-based Legon Cities was left stunned as his side lost to Bechem United at home in the ongoing betPawa Premier League 2022/23.

The pacy winger opened the scoring for his side in the 14th minute but his side was rattled with 3 goals from Emmanuel Avornyo getting the equalizer, Clinton Duodu, the second, and Hafiz Konkoni with what proved the final nail in the coffin for the away side.

Speaking to Saharafootball.net after the game, the trickery winger disclosed that, they lost focus in the game which led to their humbling defeat at home.

“We should have taken our chances in the first half, we created a lot of them in the game but once we didn’t do that the game changed on our heads and they (Bechem) took over” he added.

According to Aso, they want to improve on their current position on the league log so they won’t duel too much on their home defeat.

“Our next game is against Hearts of Oak; we know they won at Medeama but with the way the league is shaping up we can beat them on Wednesday” an optimistic Alex Aso.

Legon Cities are one of four sides with 17 points after fourteen round of games in the league, they play away to Hearts of Oak in a midweek fixture at the Accra sports Stadium.
