Bashiru Hayford has availed of the vacant Hearts of Oak coaching job following the departure of David Ocloo to Kotoko.

The Accra-based side started the season with championship-winning coach, Samuel Boadu but had to let go of him when results went south side, replacing him with Serbia Trainer, who was similarly let go after a poor string of bad patches of results.

David Ocloo was appointed stop guard coach following the departures of the aforementioned coaches for the remainder of the season, which guided Hearts to a 12-placed finish.

With the team still in search of a new coach almost two months before the start of the league, Bashir Hayford has expressed undying interest in the Hearts of Oak vacant coaching position.

Speaking in a recent interview with Accra-based, Mothers FM, he expressed the hope of being allowed to coach the side.

“Why not? I am ever ready if only they see me as a helper,” he said in an interview with Accra-based Mothers FM.

“Look at my pedigree. I don’t know the team that will be difficult for me to coach if given the opportunity. For now, they won’t advertise for you to apply but I am ever ready if only they see me as a helper.” he ended.

The experienced head has had a host of stints in the Ghana Premier League, managing sides such as Legon Cities, Asante Kotoko, Medeama, and Hearts of Lions.
