The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku has been handed the nod to contest the Executive Council position of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) The CAF Review Committee after a series of background checks and investigations issued a green light after Mr. Okraku passed the integrity and eligibility test. Former Ghanaian international Sulley Muntari didn’t mince words as he dammed the poor state of the Ghana Premier League. John Ansah, has been elected the new Chairman of the association succeeding Kojo Fianoo.  He went head-to-head with Isaac Wilberforce Koomson for the Chairmanship position this year. At the end of the elections, Ansah pulled 96 votes out of the total 132 with Koomson getting 35 of the votes with one rejected. Phyllis Marku (94) beat Nana Amankwah (34) for Vice Chairman. The Ghana Football Association has moved swiftly to appoint Swedish international, Kim Lars Bjorkegren as the new Head Coach of the Senior National Female team, the Black Queens.  This follows the gap left by former head coach Nora Hauptle who left the role after his contract was not renewed beyond, December 2024.
