The Ghana Football Association has named a new technical team for the Black Stars.  Otto has been retained as the Black Stars head coach despite his poor showing in the AFCON 2025 qualifying series which saw the team failing to qualify for the tournament for the first time in twenty (20) years. GFA Communications Director,  Henry Asante Twum has cited injuries as part of reasons Black Stars coach Otto Addo gave for not qualifying for AFCON 2025. According to him, after Black Stars exit, coach Addo’s report detailed why the team failed to qualify for the AFCON 2025. The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku has been handed the nod to contest the Executive Council position of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) The CAF Review Committee after a series of background checks and investigations issued a green light after Mr. Okraku passed the integrity and eligibility test. John Ansah, has been elected the new Chairman of the association succeeding Kojo Fianoo.  He went head-to-head with Isaac Wilberforce Koomson for the Chairmanship position this year.
