A Mohammed Kudus brace was enough to ensure that the Ghana Black Stars edged out South Korea in a closely knitted game at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan. Ghana forward Jordan Ayew has admonished Black Stars’ victory over South Korea as a big win ahead of their final group game against Uruguay in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Black Stars raced to a two-goal lead in first half with goals from Mohammed Salisu and poster boy, Mohammed  Kudus to put them up 2-0. Ghana BlackStars wrapped up their last friendly game with an emphatic 2-0 win over European side, Switzerland to aid them into the World Cup slated for Qatar 2022.  I caught a glimpse of today’s stunning victory over Switzerland and I must say that you should be proud as a Ghanaian because today’s performance from the boys was nothing short but brilliant.  The tactical and technical aspects of our game was evident, it was clear the boys had upped their game, and there was a set objective to be fulfilled whiles the technical team most assuredly brought their A-game to bear.…

The usual frenzy that surrounded the BlackStars call-ups for a qualifier or major competition was at its all-time high. Like many others, there were many checks, balances, consultations, lobbying, and what have you in the background prior to the ultimate squad announcement.
