Former Asante Kotoko forward Franck Etouga Mbella has dispelled growing suggestions that he has regretted leaving Ghanaian club, Kotoko to seek greener pastures after only a season with them. Ghana and Freiburg playmaker, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has undergone successful surgery to repair a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, which he suffered whiles training with the club. The player, who has missed the last few weeks of football action for the club underwent a successful surgery today. In a club statement disclosing the player’s surgery, portions of the statement read, “Kofi Kyereh tore his cruciate ligament in training and will be out for the rest of the season,” SC Freiburg, the club of the Black Stars forward said on Friday, February 10.
