Asante Kotoko have confirmed the acquisition of centre-back Zackaria Fuseini from Berekum Chelsea.

The 27-year-old defender inked a three-year deal with the Kumasi-based club after he completed his medicals.

Fuseini is expected to bring much-needed leadership and composure to Kotoko’s backline.

It’s expected that former Berekum Chelsea players like Lord Amoah, Patrick Asiedu, and Henry Ansu will help the new recruit acclimate smoothly in his new surroundings.

Fuseini was pivotal for Samuel Boadu’s side in the just-ended league. He made 31 appearances and was involved in four goal contributions.

Kotoko is preparing for their pre-season tour in South Africa, with the players set to team up with the rest of the squad soon.
