Asante Kotoko duo Stephen Nyarko and Collins Ameyaw fit for Bechem clash
Stephen Nyarko and Collins Ameyaw only have their body strengths to prove to attract game minutes as the medical team has handed them over completely to the Fitness coaches.
The two midfielders returned to the Adako Jachie training grounds to complete the last phase of their recovery process as they chase their full strengths after weeks on the sidelines due to injuries.
Nyarko suffered a first-degree ankle sprain in Kotoko’s 1-1 draw at Bechem United barely two weeks ago, same as Ameyaw, who also picked a hamstring in the same Special Cup matchday six fixture.
Nyarko was given two weeks off with Ameyaw also spending seven days out of work as we’re administered drugs by the Medical team.
The duo commenced light training at Adako Jachie last week, and Medical Team member, Emmanuel Osei Owusu, told Kotoko Express the players can play without any hindrances once they regain match fitness.
“We have released Nyarko and Ameyaw to the Fitness coaches. We can certify that they are medically fit and can join the rest of the squad and get back in contention for games once they prove their fitness”, said Osei Owusu.
