Asante Kotoko come from behind to beat Samartex

League Champions, Asante Kotoko had to come from behind to beat Samartex, 2-1 over the weakened.


The Porcupine Warriors after conceding an early second-half goal fought hard to come from behind to secure a 2-1 win against the opponent.

The first half was goalless after both teams failed to capitalise on glorious chances.

Prince Antwi scored four minutes after into the second half to give Samartex FC the lead with a well hit strike outside the box.

Nicholas Mensah equalized in the 78th minute for Asante kotoko  before Augustine Agyepong scored a beautifully taken freekick in the 86th minute to seal a 2-1 win for the league champions.

Asante Kotoko are now 3rd on the Ghana Premier League table with just three points separating them and league leaders, Aduana Stars.
