Ghana Premier League champions, Asante Kotoko has canceled their scheduled preseason tour to Turkey.

The team was scheduled to embark on a pre-season tour to the Europe country but due to visa complications, the team’s planned visit has been curtailed.

As part of new plans from the club, the team will spend 10 days training in Sudan to get ready for the 2022–23 campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors had intended to visit a European nation for the second stage of their preseason, where they would have faced Rivers United of Nigeria in a friendly encounter.

Meanwhile, Kotoko will take on the Sudanese side, Al Hilal on Tuesday as they bolster their pre-season campaign.

The CAF Champions League opening round matchup between the Ghanaian champions and Burkinabe team Rail Club de Kadiogo will mark the beginning of their season on the second weekend in September.
