Ampem Darkoa coach, Nana Adarkwa ready for SC Casablanca clash

Ampem Darkoa Ladies coach Nana Joe Adarkwa is anticipating the semi-final clash against Morocco’s Sporting Club Casablanca in the CAF Women’s Champions League following their victory over Huracanes in the final Group B game.

With Tracey Twum scoring twice and Gnabekan Yanyimaya adding a late strike, the Ghanaian champions secured a 3-1 win over Huracanes, finishing at the top of Group B.

Ampem Darkoa will now face SC Casablanca, the second-placed team in Group A, in the semi-final on Wednesday night.

Coach Adarkwa expressed satisfaction with reaching the semi-finals and acknowledged the challenge ahead, emphasizing the team’s determination to perform well.

“We achieved our first goal, which was to be in the semi-finals. Whatever happens, we will finish the competition with our heads held high. We are aware that the team we are going to meet is a strong team, but we will work hard to win the game,” he said after the game.

In the other semi-final, Mamelodi Sundowns will take on AS FAR in a rematch of last year’s final, with both clubs being past champions of the competition
