President and bankroller of Kumasi-based club, King Faisal, Alhaji Grunsah was full of praises for his hat trick hero, Ibrahim Zubairu, who single handly brought Kotoko to its wobbly knees in a tightly contested derby at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Both teams were looking to get one over each other considering the pair failed to record wins in their prior encounter.

Kotoko were looking to get in on the wins after their perfect run to the season was curbed with a draw away to Karela at the CAM Park whiles King Faisal were dealt a serious blow by Berekum Chelsea.

King Faisal started the early exchanges on the front with 2 quick goals after a rousing quick counter from Enock Morrison, Wayo to slid Zubairu Ibrahim in on the goals before Cameroon import Mfuege halved the deficit only for the star of the game to steal all 3 points for the away side with a perfect control shot past Abalora.

However, in Alhaji Grunsah’s post reactions, he couldn’t contain his excitement but shower loads of compliments on his player.

“In this country, we have a striker (Ibrahim Zubairu), who can compete at any level.

I told my boys that even with the absence of Sarkodie, Osman and others we will still beat them(Kotoko)”.

On whether he thought Kotoko deserved a penalty after wide calls for a penalty he remarked ” The referee didn’t award a penalty because there wasn’t one we don’t mind cos we put 3 goals past them and they scored 2″. he ended.

Ibrahim Zubairu has been imperious for King Faisal helping them to the summit on the log with 13 points whiles scoring 4 in 6 outings.
