Ghana midfielder, Joe Alfred Duncan has refused to state categorically reasons why he hasn’t honored call ups to the national team, Blackstars even though he has been involved with his Italian side, Fiorentina in the ongoing Italian Serie A.

Initially, eyebrows were raised as to why he had again refused to play for the Blackstars with many suggesting he was injured but in a recent post on Twitter,he emphasised that all these was a case of miscommunication which was why he was unable to team up with the side.

With Regards to my absence from the national team I spoke with the head coach of the blackstars but there was a miscommunication somewhere AND I didn’t say I was injured. Moreover if I want to refuse a call up I will do so and not by faking injury. Online bloggers academy INT.

Duncun is one of five players (Gyasi, Ganiyu, Wakaso, Fosu), who was dropped by new coach, Milo Rajevac.

Ghana is gearing up to play in the double header against Zimbabwe.
