Legon Cities’ Alex Aso was full of praise for his side’s home win over newly promoted side, Kotoku Royals in the ongoing betPawa Premier League 2022/23.

Prior to this duel, the host had just recorded a single win in seven outings and with relegation staring at them, they knew exactly what was expected of them in the build-up to this game.

The first half swung by with no goals, but nine minutes upon resumption of the second half Michel Otou shot his side into the lead and bagged a brace on the 90th-minute mark to seal the victory.

Speaking to Sharafootballl.net after the game, Aso, who lasted 80 minutes before been subbed off for Amos Acheampong concedes that, the playing body was under a lot of pressure to win this game and was glad they did just that at the end of the game.

“The opponent (Kotoku Royals) were dominant in the first half, they created a lot of chances but failed to convert. We came back stronger in the second half, we created lots of chances and managed to score two out of them”

“I have to admit that it wasn’t easy for us today and in the last few games but hopefully, this win will help us beat the relegation”

The pacy winger has been involved in six goals contribution in over twenty league appearances for in the ongoing season.

The win pushes the Royals to 14th on the log,31 points with an away fixture to the Crosby Awuah Memorial park on the cards.
