Bibiani Goldstars forward, Alex Aso scored his first goal of the season for his new club in game week six of the betPawa Premier League against Hearts of Lions at Dun’s Park.

The pacy forward struck the first goal of the game to end his goal drought for the Miners in six games on the stroke of halftime to send the host 1-0 up.

Appiah McCarthy another summer signing added a second to send the home side cruising two goals up but Yakubu Mumuni and Ebenezer Abban leveled things up for the Kpando travelling outfit, to end the game,2-2.

Speaking to Saharafootball.net after the game, Aso expressed immense delight at opening his account for GoldStars in the league.

“It feels good to score my first goal for the club knowing how hard I work in training I’m hoping to score more goals and make a positive impact on the team. I believe today’s goal is the beginning of many to come” he ended.

He was however disappointed with the score line as he hoped his side would have picked up the maximum points but ended up drawing 2-2 with Hearts of Lions in a very spirited affair at the very heavily parked Duns Park.

GoldStars will welcome Hearts of Oak in the next encounter with Lions at home to Karela United.
