Alex Aso’s brace powered Bibiani GoldStars to a resounding 3-0 victory over Samartex at Duns Park on Sunday.

The forward produced an amazing set of performances which saw him score two goals in either half, the first in twenty minutes and the second twenty minutes after the resumption of the second half while Prince Owusu added the third goal in the dying embers of the game to secure a thumping victory at home.

The win was Gold Star’s first win in ten games with their last win dating back to a home win over Real Tamale United as far back as October 2023 in week four of the league.

Speaking to Saharafootball.net after the game on his assessment of his man-of-the-match performance, he opined that.

“It was teamwork today; you could see all the players working extra hard for the points at the end. I’m glad we got all three points which is a massive boost for us in the league”

On what the brace he scored for the team meant today, the delighted Aso added

“It was a good performance and I was happy to get a brace which helped us to win. I will continue working hard and keep my head up to help the team”

Aso has been an instant fan favorite, involved in five goals contribution in ten games for the Miners.
