    Alex Aso was the star of the show as GoldStars beat Great Olympics in week twenty of the ongoing Ghana Premier League at Duns Park in Bibiani.

     



    The silky forward assisted the first and scored the third goal with Richard Odartei Botchway’s own goal sandwiched in between the goals.

    He assisted Roland Frimpong’s opening goal who had the easiest of tasks to tap in from close range for the opening goal was assisted by Frank Amankwah for the third and final goal to aid the miners to a resounding victory over the visiting Accra-based side.

    Aso has impressively warmed himself to the fans since he moved from Legon Cities to Bibiani.

    Speaking to Saharafootball.net after the game, he credited the technical team for how they have managed to improve the playing body, especially in home duels.

    “It was a good feeling to be on the scoresheet with a goal and assist. You can see there has been a lot of improvement in our last four home games because both the technical team and the playing body are working extra hard”.he ended

    Aso has been involved in 8 goal contributions in 15 games for his club and will be hoping to continue this fine form in midweek against Real Tamale United, who lost away to Hearts of Lions.

    He will be hoping to power the side to many victories as they eye a top-half finish in the Ghana Premier League.
