Accra-based Legon Cities swept newly-promoted side Kotoku Royals FC off their feet in 3-0 drubbing at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The away side asserted a considerable level of superiority over their host and it was least surprising to see them race to a 2- 0 lead in the first half with goals from forward, Jonah Attuquaye and Kofi Kordzi.

Alex Aso added the icing on the cake to make it 3-0 in the dying embers of the game.

Speaking to Saharafootball.net after the game, the trickery winger, who was beaming with loads of smiles after scoring in today’s game remarked

“I am very happy I managed to score in today’s game, I believe this goal will certainly help boast my confidence towards our next game”. he ended

He added that today’s performance was a reflection of the hard work in training every now and was keen on working to score more goals for the team in the coming games.

Aso has been instrumental for Legon Cities, with 4 goals contributions in 7 games for the side since teaming up with the side from Inter Allies, a season ago.

The win sees Legon Cities move to sixth position on the log with Karela United FC lying in wait as the next opponents in week 10 of the betPawa Premier League.
