Alex Aso made his long-awaited debut for Nations FC against Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium, Abrankese.
The 26-year-old signed as a free agent with the Kumasi-based club in the January transfer window after numerous interests from Karela United, Hearts of Lions, and Young Apostles.
He was introduced at the 70th minute mark, replacing Aryeetey Ayikwei, to solidify the club’s attack in the game.
Before his cameo debut, Joseph Effah was on hand to perfectly head home the opener from Botchway’s teasing cross beyond the reach of goalkeeper Prince Osei in post for Aduana Stars.
Also, Aso, a household name, will be hoping to relaunch his career, eyeing more game time under coach Frimpong Manso.
Nations will travel down south to play Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in week twenty of the next Ghana Premier League encounter.
