Albert Amoah’s stoppage time goal proved decisive for Kotoko as they edged Hearts of Oak in week thirteen of the ongoing Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Both teams have had a torrid campaign from the start to this stage, for the home side this game was yet another opportunity to reclaim their bragging rights.

The two teams gave fans lots to ponder about in goal-scoring opportunities but failed to hit the back of the net.

Albert Amoah, Saaka Dauda by far created and wasted most chances to give the Porcupine Warriors the half time edge.

The second half resumed with lots of attacking intensity between the duo, Hamza Issah came close to scoring on a few occasions, similar to Salim Adams but he failed to hit the target.

Mawuli Wayo and Ransford Mensah came on for Martin Karikari and Emmanuel Amankwah whiles Fernando Bassey, Emmanuel Antwi were subbed on for Saaka Dauda and Baba Yayaha.

In what was almost looking like a draw, Albert Amoah muscled his way through to give Kotoko the vital win against their arch rivals at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The win pips, Kotoko to 6th with 21 points whiles Hearts of Oak descend to 7th on the log.
