Agyemang Badu is still with Kotoko – Agent

Defender Emmanuel Agyemang Badu is missing in action as Maxwell Konadu selects his twenty-two man squad for pre-season preparations in Koforidua.

Maxwell Konadu stated earlier that the club’s management are still negotiating and sorting out contract issues with some of the players ahead of the season and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu is among the players in contract talks with the club.

Emmanuel Agyemang Badu’s contract with Asante Kotoko expired a few weeks ago and there were reports that the defender signed a new 5-year contract but these reports are still unconfirmed. The player has not returned to the club’s training grounds since they resumed.

Despite the player’s omission from the pre-season squad, his agent believes the player is still with the club and could join the pre-season camp if things are sorted out swiftly.

“Yes, he is still with Kotoko, we are still talking with the club and we will see how things goes,” his agent told Sahara Football

When asked if Agyemang Badu will be joining the pre-season camp

“Let’s wait and see, we are still in talks with Kotoko. Anything can happen” he added.

Asante Kotoko have already signed former Ashgold defender Yusif Mubarik to strengthen the club’s defence and are going to sort out the contract of Emmanuel Agyemang Badu before the new season kicks off.
